This was an unexpectedly excellent hotel. Plenty of free parking right outside and a small shopping centre just over the road for any essentials. The bed and bedding were good as were the towels and hot water. The layout and storage of the room was good and the breakfast selection and quality were excellent. We had a room with a balcony which would have been great except for the heavy rain! All the staff we encountered were professional and helpful.

Very good hotel in a nice town. Rooms were very good but stylewise slightly outdated in comparison to the very new interior of the hotel. But nevertheless well kept and functional. Food and bar were excellent! Staff were very friendly and helpful and showed sincere interest in their guests. We really enjoyed our stay and will return in the future!

The room was very nice and the breakfast had lots of things to choose from. We arrived later than the normal checkin time but we called ahead and it was no problem checking in late (reception was open 24h).

Perfect. It says 3 stars, but it is definitely a standard of 4. Great food and comfy rooms.

Huge modern rooms, amazing view over the sea, very clean, friendly staff, best breakfast quality and variety I have ever seen. Charlie is a star!

Super location and one of the best breakfasts I have seen. There is no gym in the hotel but one may use the city fitness center free of charge (walking distance).

Breakfast was very good. My friend liked bacon very much. Room was standard with adjustable temperature both heating and cooling. Bathroom floor also has heating. If you are planning to visit Ålesund, then it takes about 40 minutes driving, also need to take a ferry. But if you also want to visit bird island. The location is just in the middle.
